Genesis Christian School International found the A.C.E curriculum unmatched among other Christian curricula and therefore adopted it for use in the school. The A.C.E curriculum has the core subjects that provide Learners with academic training, skill building, reading practice, character and wisdom training, and knowledge of God and His Word. This complete package begins with reading development and progresses through secondary education, giving students a solid foundation for pursuing their lifetime goals. Students, who are more independent Learners, have been known to progress at a faster rate in the areas of their academic strengths. Slower students are also motivated to do their best and are able to work at their levels of proficiency, while proceeding as they are capable. When the slower Learners are not rushed, but are given a chance to work at their level of capability, they master the content and are able to do brilliantly.
Learners write in booklets called PACES. Each core subject consists of 12 PACEs (Packet of Accelerated Christian Education) per level. Generally, students work daily in one PACE, per subject. The diagnostic test results help to identify academic weaknesses and prescribe a path to help students catch up. Most students complete at least 72 PACEs per year (the required workload per grade), while maintaining academic balance by completing about the same number of PACEs in each assigned subject.
Core Subjects are:

  • Math (Levels Kindergarten - Grade 12)
  • English (Levels Kindergarten – Grade 12)
  • Social Studies (Levels Kindergarten – Grade 12)
  • Science (Levels Kindergarten – Grade 12)
  • Word Building (Levels Kindergarten – Grade 9)
  • Literature and Creative Writing (Levels 2–8)
  • Bible Reading (Levels 1–6)

In order to enhance the core curriculum, A.C.E. offers a number of other programs and courses beneficial to academic growth and development.
Each of these courses adds interest and enrichment to the core curriculum and to other learning activities. Some of the programmes we use include: Readmaster® ,Typemaster® Math Builder® WordBuilder® and SkillsPro®

Learners are assessed at the end of each PACE studied to ensure that learning has taken place. At grade 8, 10 and 12, the Learners also write exams for assessment by International Certificate of Christian Education (ICCE), the Body in charge of certification of all A.C.E qualifications around the world.

In 2011, UK NARIC found the ICCE General Certificate to be comparable to Cambridge International ‘O’ level examinations and the ICCE Advanced Certificate comparable to Cambridge International ‘A’ level Examinations.
